Helvetica!

Was never really a huge fan of fonts or choosing fonts to be honest. Was one of those, do the design, need font, scroll through fonts, see what looks good... total lack of creativity attached, but with some thought and intention behind a font, a lot can be done with it.

Five minutes spent with Helvetica itself left me with...



...nothing too major, just toying around with a name but a bit of lining and colour and i was pretty satisfied.

The whole idea of it i have now found interesting. Looking forward to getting into the Visual Communication "Hot,Cold,Bright,Dark" assignment.

Developing an idea at the moment, but looking forward to trying to fit all the pieces together while being excited over my new piece, type!

Also, love the idea of how used Helvetica is aswell. Would have seen it for years but never copped it was a usable font, but the use of Helvetica for "Jackass". Even mocked up in photoshop to see if it was the same!

To me, it just has so much character and feels like more than an image, a moment from a scene of some sort. With so much depth and detail, the lighting, the atmosphere, it's all great!
